The atmospheric tower is the “heart” of the refinery. Crude oil can be cut into four or five product fractions including gasoline, kerosene, light diesel oil, heavy diesel oil and heavy oil through atmospheric distillation. This atmospheric tower weighs 2,250 tons, which is equivalent to a quarter of the weight of the Eiffel Tower, with a height of 120 meters, more than one-third of the Eiffel Tower, and a diameter of 12 meters. It is the largest atmospheric tower in the world at present. At the beginning of 2018, TISCO began to intervene in the project. The marketing center closely tracked the progress of the project, visited customers many times, and communicated repeatedly on new and old standards, material grades, technical clarification, production schedule and system certification. The stainless hot-rolling plant strictly implements the project process and key links, overcomes the problems of tight time, heavy tasks, and high process requirements, and finally completes the production task with high quality and quantity.
Dangote Refinery, invested and constructed by Nigerian Dangote Group, is located near the port of Lagos. The crude oil processing capacity is designed to be 32.5 million tons per year. It is currently the largest oil refinery in the world with a single-line processing capacity. After the refinery is put into operation, it can increase two-thirds of Nigeria’s refining capacity, which will reverse Nigeria’s long-term dependence on imported fuels and support the downstream refining market in Nigeria and even in Africa.
In recent years, TISCO has been adhering to the spirit of Shanxi merchants, in-depth cooperation with countries along the “Belt and Road”, exporting high-quality steel products to help the “Belt and Road” construction. Up to now, TISCO has carried out business cooperation with 37 countries and regions in the “Belt and Road” agreement, and its products have been applied in batches of petroleum, chemical, shipbuilding, mining, railway, automobile, food and other terminal industries, and has successfully won the bid for Karachi K2, Pakistan. /K3 nuclear power project, Malaysia RAPID petroleum refining and chemical project, Russia Yamal LNG project, Maldives China-Malaysia Friendship Bridge project and more than 60 international key projects. From January to September this year, the sales growth rate of TISCO in the Middle East, South America, Africa and other regions has exceeded 40%.
