It is the first cascade of the four water elevators (Wudongde, Baihetan, Xiluodu, Xiangjiaba) in the lower reaches of the Jinsha River. The total installed capacity of the power station is 10.2 million kilowatts, and the average annual power generation can reach 38.91 billion kilowatt-hours. It is the third tens of millions of hydropower stations in China after the Three Gorges and Xiluodu, and the seventh largest hydropower station built or under construction in the world. In particular, the yoke steel is required to have a yield strength of 750Mpa. In 2013, aiming at the acceleration of hydropower development in my country and the trend of large-scale and high-end hydropower equipment, TISCO began to develop high-strength yoke steel materials for giant hydropower equipment. In response to material properties and subsequent laser cutting processing requirements, TISCO technical department and production and manufacturing department worked closely together to conduct in-depth analysis and repeated tests around key parameters such as strength, magnetic induction, internal stress, and dimensional accuracy, and gradually mastered the production of materials. key technologies. In 2014, TISCO produced the first internationally leading 750MPa grade high-strength yoke steel material, and passed the material certification organized by China Iron and Steel Association in July of the same year. In September 2016, the product passed the certification of third-party SGS and GE of the United States, becoming the first steel mill in the world to obtain the international certification of 750MPa grade high-strength yoke steel material. During the trial production of key materials for the Wudongde Hydropower Project, TISCO successfully surpassed many world-renowned high-strength steel manufacturers with an excellent performance of unevenness within 1mm/m, and became the first company to meet the technical requirements of GE, the equipment manufacturer of the project.
Up to now, TISCO has supplied more than 4,000 tons of magnetic pole steel, high-strength yoke steel, special stainless steel, etc. to the Wudongde Hydropower Project, becoming an important supplier of key materials for the project. In addition, TISCO has reached a cooperation intention with the headquarters of GE Corporation in the United States, and started to make technical preparations for the use of high-strength steel materials above 800MPa for higher-power super-giant hydropower units, and carry out advanced research and development. The relevant person in charge of TISCO said that the ability to provide key materials for the Wudongde hydropower project is not only a re-proof of TISCO innovation capability, but also a powerful improvement of TISCO internal R&D, production, control and management level.
